Closed Issue: Flickr4writer won't load without version 2.0.3 of the FlickrNet DLL

I reinstalled Writer and Flickr4Writer. Somehow I have ended up with the latest version of the FlickrNet DLL (2.1.2) in the folder. As a result, when I hit "Insert Flickr Image" I get an error saying that it cannot find version 2.0.3. Manually extracting 2.0.3 and pasting it into the plugins folder seems to do the trick.

Apologies - having problems adding this issues. . . I'm running WLW build 12.0.1370.345. Flickr4Writer worked at first but now no longer works for my account (Flickr User Not Found error received). I can look up other accounts however. Incidentally my problems seem to have happened around the same time installed the flckr uploader tool. Can the plugin provide some diagnostics to better understand the problem?

I have tried a valid flickr user and a valid e-mail address for that flickr account.

I believe the flickr API will tell you how many total pages or total records there are for a given search. It'd be nice to allow jumping to a specific page.

Enable capability to authenticate to view friends/family pictures rather than only public images.

Keith: I've had this problem happen to my account as well. To be honest, I haven't looked into it. I changed my "display" name in my profile from one to another and for some time the API didn't recognize the change and I had to use my *default* email address configured in my Yahoo profile. If you want to work offline with me to debug, I'm happy to see what's going on -- of course, the source code is available here as well and if you find a bug (or updated API) let me know :-).

I have a Yahoo account linked to Flickr and I am getting the same error. I just installed the plugin on a fairly fresh machine.

I tried another flickr user account, and it DID work for that one. Perhaps it has something to do with using a Yahoo account linked to flickr

It would be fantastic if flickr4writer would remember my last choices (picture size, username, tags, etc...) when I bring it back up - especially when I'm in the same post that I just inserted a picture into.

I'm getting timeouts when it's loading the list of photosets now because I have 345 photosets. Can we increase or disable the timeout? I tried to navigate the code to figure it out but haven't yet...

I can barely write any more picture blogs with this problem. By the way, many of my photosets are private not public, so actually the threshold is much lower than 345 in reality. Also, even if one increases or disables the timeout, the loading time required to download the list of photosets will eventually become very cumbersome unless it is done asynchronously. I suggest that it be done asynchronously or else that it somehow be paged or possibly have an option to only download the name the most recent 50 photosets. That's all my brainstorming for now. :-)
